Despite an already bulging tablet line up Samsung have announced another device in the form of the Galaxy Tab A. Initially announcing the news in Russia last month we now have confirmation that the tablet will be coming to Europe.
The tablets will ship in two different screen sizes, 8 inch and 9.7 inch. Both the size variations will be running Android 5.0 lollipop on 1.2 GHz quad core processors however the larger option comes with 2Gb of RAM compared to the smaller versions 1.5Gb.
Both the tablets are promising decent battery life with Samsung claiming 13 and 15 hours for the 8 and 9.7 inch tablets respectively. In addition to the memory differences the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 will come with the Samsung S-pen, one of the main draws of the much more expensive Galaxy Note series.
Despite not being the most exciting product launch much of the interest in the product will come due to the price. Samsung have announced that the 8 inch version will go on sale at €299 (around £219) for the Wi-Fi version and €349 (around £255) for the LTE version. The larger S-pen carrying version will also be priced at the €349 (around £255) mark.
No official date has been announced for the UK, however with a launch in Germany next month expect to see the Galaxy Tab A soon.
